Spam emails are not filtered and go to my inbox, why?

Missive does not offer any spam filtering. We believe this feature belongs at the email server level, so you can benefit from your email server’s spam filtering no matter what email app or device you are using. Unfortunately, generic IMAP servers tend to have much less intelligent spam filtering than big players such as Gmail / Google Workspace / Office 365. So this probably isn’t the answer you are hoping for. Still, if spam is a big problem for you the best solution would probably be to switch your emails to Google Workspace, or an established independent provider like Fastmail.

You can also create rules that automatically mark the emails as spam based on different conditions: words present in the content, sent from a specific domain name, etc.
