New

MCP server is out of beta • Read more
External AI apps like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor can now connect to Missive through the Model Context Protocol and act on your conversations, contacts, calendar, and drafts, with the permissions you choose. An admin enables it for the organization in Settings, then everyone connects their own app.

  • Ask Claude to summarize your inbox and draft replies without leaving the chat
  • Let an agent triage new conversations against your CRM before you look at them
  • Pull context from past threads into a document you're writing
  • Chain Missive with other MCP-enabled tools in one workflow

See at a glance what the assistant is doing
Long assistant sessions no longer need babysitting. The session tab now shows what the assistant is up to, and a conversation links back to the sessions attached to it.

  • A spinner on the session tab while the assistant is working
  • A blue dot on the tab and on the sidebar button when it's done replying, or paused for your input or approval
  • A "Go to related session(s)" button when a conversation has sessions attached

Improved

The assistant now answers questions about Missive itself
Ask how a feature works, how to set up a rule, or where a setting lives. The answer comes straight from the Missive documentation instead of a guess.

Pick search filters before typing
The Type (Internal / External) and Date range filters in search no longer stay greyed out until you enter a search term. Handy when all you know up front is that you're after a comment, or something from last week.

Better file previews on Android
Attachments now download locally and open in your preferred app instead of falling back to the browser, matching iOS. PDFs and images that used to open as a blank page now open properly.

Fixed
  • When several integrations add quick actions to the composer, they now collapse into an overflow dropdown instead of pushing the Send button out of view.
  • Typing :smile and hitting Return twice in a row no longer inserts the emoji twice.
  • The Download all attachments button no longer appears on mobile, where it never actually worked.
  • Broken avatar images in the conversation list now fall back to the default icon instead of showing the browser's broken-image glyph.
  • Sub-menus (like the ones in the Snooze menu) no longer render behind their parent menu.
  • Opening Settings from inside the Snooze menu (the gear icon) now closes the Snooze menu instead of leaving it open on top.
  • Inserting "All responses" or "All calendars" as a context token in the assistant no longer crashes the input.
  • IMAP mailbox context tokens now resolve to the right mailbox, with the correct icon and click behavior.
  • Autocompleting a recipient in the Cc field no longer bounces focus back to the To field and accepts an unfinished address.
  • Fullscreen dialogs on mobile animate smoothly again.
  • The mobile status bar color now updates correctly when opening Settings from the sidebar.
